About Me

I love books, dinosaurs, and sneakers (you just can’t see the fresh white high tops I’m wearing in this photo—sorry). I also work as a writer and editor at the Ontario Science Centre. And yes, it’s a really cool job. I’ve actually had a lot of neat gigs! Before working at the Ontario Science Centre, I was the editor of OWL Magazine, Canada’s largest publication for 9 to 13 year-olds. You may know the one—it’s been around for over 40 years and full of incredible STEAM (science, tech, engineering, arts, math) content for kids and teens. I’ve been working in the children’s media and publishing industry for over 15 years. Encouraging and inspiring curiosity in young people is kind of my thing. Okay, it’s more than just “my thing”—it’s my passion and what motivates me to do what I do.
What else? Well, I wrote a book, I’ve made a TV appearance or two, and I’m probably best-known for my laugh. I’m told it’s infectious. But I think that just means it’s loud.
