If you know Kendra, you know she loves books, dinosaurs and sneakers. She is also a writer and editor with 20 years of editorial, marketing and communications experience. Her work is driven by a desire to encourage and inspire curiosity and lifelong learning. Whether she is creating educational content, crafting social copy or writing corporate reports, Kendra always brings her creative mind and enthusiastic spirit to the task.

She is the author of two children’s books, SMALL BUT MIGHTY: WHY EARTH’S TINY CREATURES MATTER (Owlkids, 2021) and LUNA LOVES DINOSAURS (Owlkids, September 2027). Kendra is currently the Writer-Editor on the Strategic Communications team at the Ontario Science Centre, where she develops, writes and edits content for a variety of initiatives to highlight and advance the organization as a leader in science education and engagement. Before joining the Science Centre in 2021, Kendra spent almost 10 years at Owlkids, working her way up from Assistant Editor to Editor of OWL Magazine, Canada’s largest publication for 9 to 13 year-olds. While in the Editor role, she helped relaunch the magazine into a STEAM-focused publication. She also oversaw the launch of owlconnected.com (relaunched as News-O-Matic in 2023), a daily news site for kids, as well as a bi-weekly current affairs eMag and a YouTube series called General KnOWLedge.

Over the course of her 20-year career, Kendra has helped to develop, write, edit and create content for many clients, including Youth Culture, Let’s Talk Science, FIRST Robotics Canada, Today’s Parent and Owlkids.
